The boy was unable to surf on his own, but with the help of Ricochet, they were able to catch waves and experience the thrill of surfing together. This unique and heartwarming experience sparked the idea of surfing dogs and has since become a global phenomenon. She recently passed away on March 31, 2023 at the age of 15.
Continuing to gain popularity through events such as the World Dog Surfing Championships and the Surf City Surf Dog competition. These events also help to raise awareness and funds for various dog-related charities. The special dogs even helped first responders during the pandemic.
